Miesha Theresa Tate, born August 18, 1986 is an American mixed martial artist. Tate is currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in which she is the past UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was previously a competitor for Strikeforce where she was the past Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice-president of ONE Championship. On October 3 2022, 2022, she's 10th in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was the daughter of Michelle Tate and Robert Schmidt. She was born in Tacoma, Washington. A tomboy during her youth she frequently hung out with the boys of her neighborhood at playgrounds.
